ABOUT
Born in Palermo, 1993. Composer, pianist, sound engineer and record producer.
He graduated from Vincenzo Bellini Conservatoire in Palermo studying composition, piano and conducting. In Rome, He obtained the Diploma of High Specialization in Composition at the National Academy of S. Cecilia studying with Ivan Fedele. Piano performances have been always central in Giovanni’s production and in 2013 He went to London in order to improve his piano improvising skills and live performance at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He moved to Berlin in 2016 where He obtained the Audio Engineering Diploma at SAE Institute in 2018. Since 2019 He lives and works in Paris.
Obsessed by memory and narration, Giovanni’s uses of acoustic and electronic instruments are designed in order to create the experience of an unreal landscape, a dystopic memory box where the perception of time is completely altered to the point of being forgotten.
